Job Description: Job Description:Saab Inc's Surveillance Systems is in search of motivated, enthusiastic Electrical or Computer Engineering student(s) who would be interested in putting their Electrical or Computer Engineering studies to a real-work application in the development of a next-generation radar systems for the multiple DoD customers including the U.S. Navy. This is a hands-on, real-life, development effort using cutting edge technology though circuit card design and advanced FPGA-based design.This assignment is at our East Syracuse, NY location for Summer 2027 (May 2027 - August 2027)Responsibilities Include:Selected candidate will assist engineering in the design, development and test of various electronic circuit card assemblies. This includes:Design and implementation of basic circuitsDesign, implementation, simulation and test of VHDL based Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) firmwareBench testing of various circuit cards including first article hardware and legacy hardwareAssist in the generation of various artifacts/documentation including circuit board schematics and bills of materialCompensation Range: $20.27-$22.30/hrIn addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-Ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.The compensation range provided is a general guideline.
