About the role#
This Electrical Engineering Co-Op position offers hands-on experience in the development of next-generation radar systems for defense customers, including the U.S. Navy. You will work within a development team on circuit card design and FPGA-based projects during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in the design, development, and testing of electronic circuit card assemblies.
- Design and implement basic circuits.
- Design, simulate, and test VHDL-based FPGA firmware.
- Perform bench testing on circuit cards, including both first article and legacy hardware.
- Help generate technical documentation, such as circuit board schematics and bills of material.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year or higher.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Understanding of basic circuit theory and digital logic design.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Working knowledge of VHDL.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Experience using test equipment like oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
- Strong organizational skills and clear written and oral communication.
