About the role#
The Corporate Impact team manages corporate social responsibility, community investment, and employee engagement at Xcel Energy. This intern will support data-driven projects that advance our employee giving programs, nonprofit partnerships, and community investment strategies. You will gain hands-on experience using systems like CyberGrants and Power BI to translate data into insights that inform our strategic decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Support foundation data collection, analysis, and metric reporting.
- Develop and maintain data dashboards to track key performance indicators.
- Manage data entry and reporting within the CyberGrants portal.
- Assist with the implementation of the annual workplace giving campaign.
- Support accounting and finance teams with audit and financial processes.
- Create process documents and job aids for employee giving programs, including matching gifts and volunteer time off.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries via shared email inboxes and hotlines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Business Administration, Corporate Social Responsibility, or a related field.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with data management projects and processing.
- Ability to interpret requirements, identify trends, and generate recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication.
- Prior volunteer or professional office experience.
