About the role#
As a Health and Benefits Intern at WTW, you will join our team to work on real client assignments. You will partner with consultants, actuaries, and analysts to gain technical knowledge and industry expertise. This role provides full-time, paid experience in our Toronto office for the Winter, Summer, or Fall 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Perform renewal analysis, negotiation, financial analysis, and budget projections.
- Develop pricing for alternative design features and create employee contribution strategies.
- Model plan design alternatives and calculate reserves.
- Complete actuarial work including assumption studies and claims analyses.
- Support post-retirement and post-employment valuations and accounting.
- Analyze and compare vendor products, services, and contracts.
- Design, distribute, and evaluate responses to surveys and RFPs.
- Manage plan activities and coordinate directly with clients.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelors degree in business, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, public health, health management, or commerce, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Previous work experience demonstrating technical and client service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter independently and within a team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $34.00 per hour CAD, with eligibility for overtime.
