About the role#
As a Co-op Student on our Rail & Transit Construction Management team, you will support the delivery of critical transit infrastructure projects across Toronto. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain field experience on TTC capital projects, including station upgrades, track infrastructure, and maintenance facilities. This role is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction inspection and contract administration activities.
- Monitor construction methods, workmanship, and materials to ensure they meet contract requirements and quality standards.
- Prepare daily site inspection reports and document contract deficiencies.
- Observe and report on safety, security, operational, and customer service impacts during construction.
- Collaborate with contractors, TTC representatives, utility providers, and other project stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college Co-op Engineering program, specifically in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, or Industrial Engineering.
- A demonstrated interest in construction management, infrastructure delivery, or transportation projects.
- Excellent technical and business writing skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work occasional night shifts and weekends to meet project requirements.
- A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
