About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Intern at KPFF, you will work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects. You will gain hands-on experience in the design, analysis, and construction phases of structural work. This role involves contributing ideas and solutions to project teams while building your technical skills in a professional office setting.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with seasoned engineers on structural projects during design, analysis, and construction phases.
- Conduct structural analysis, simulations, and calculations using RAM, RISA, and CSI software.
- Participate in site visits to gain practical insights into construction processes.
- Contribute to team discussions and problem-solving efforts.
- Participate in the Weekly Intern Training Series.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in civil or architectural engineering with an emphasis in structures.
- Completion of statics, mechanics of materials, and at least one design course by the start of the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical and organizational capabilities.

- Location: Boise, Idaho.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10-12 weeks).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- This is a paid internship.
