About the role#
Join the Strategic Talent team this Fall to gain experience with the people strategies that drive business success. You will work alongside HR professionals and business leaders to contribute to initiatives that support the talent strategy at WSP Canada. This role focuses on developing practical HR skills and business acumen.
What you'll do#
- Support the delivery of HR programs and initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Assist with workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, and compensation guidance.
- Analyze HR data to prepare reports, presentations, and insights for decision-making.
- Contribute to employee engagement, learning, recognition, and talent development projects.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to support HR projects and change management activities.
- Assist in the review and documentation of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
- Conduct research on talent trends and market practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Commerce, or a related field.
- Enrollment in a recognized co-op program with a requirement to return to full-time studies after the work term.
- Demonstrated interest in HR, employee experience, talent management, or organizational development.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate insights.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
