About the role#
WSP is seeking a full-time Architecture Intern for our Federal Team during the Summer 2027 term. This 12-week program, starting May 17, 2027, provides hands-on experience on real projects while working alongside senior staff. Interns participate in the Developing Professionals Network to gain mentorship and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support a variety of architectural tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of architectural design.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks and adhere to company policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate program in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Graphic Design, or Environmental Engineering with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Demonstrated interest in architecture or a related field.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Preferred qualifications include enrollment in an accredited Masters or PhD program, experience with AutoCAD or Revit, and prior internship or leadership involvement.
