This full-time Mechanical Engineering Co-op position offers hands-on experience within the Property & Buildings team. You will work alongside senior staff on projects across the infrastructure, commercial, higher education, science & technology, and healthcare sectors. The role is designed to develop your technical, social, and ethical engineering skills through real-world project exposure.
What you'll do#
- Support a variety of engineering tasks and learn basic principles of Mechanical (HVAC) Engineering.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Learn to use Autodesk Revit to model mechanical airside and hydronic components and systems.
- Interpret building plans and mechanical diagrams while becoming familiar with engineering standards and codes.
- Travel to job sites to survey and review existing buildings and construction progress.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation and complete assigned training.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related program through Drexel University with an anticipated graduation date of March 2027 or later.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Demonstrated interest in the mechanical engineering field and a desire to advance skills related to project work.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to take direction from leadership.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to uphold workplace safety and adhere to company policies.

- Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 (Anticipated dates: September 22, 2026 – March 26, 2027).
- Compensation: $23.90 – $31.11 per hour.
- Note: No relocation or housing assistance is provided for this position.
