About the role#
This Civil Technologist Student position is for the Fall 2026 term. You will support municipal engineering projects by participating in both field-based data collection and office-based design tasks. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
What you'll do#
- Assist with field surveying using GPS and Total Station equipment to support municipal engineering projects.
- Conduct site inspections and perform field work to support project execution, including travel to project locations as required.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports that inform project decisions and client deliverables.
- Undertake field reviews and complete detailed reporting to ensure compliance and quality.
- Review engineering drawings and contribute to design accuracy.
- Apply safety standards and best practices in all field activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Technology, GIS, or Environmental diploma program at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D or similar design software.
- Interest in municipal engineering, land development, and project management.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in outdoor environments.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field work.
