About the role#
This structural engineering student position offers hands-on experience within the mining sector. You will contribute to real-world projects by supporting engineering teams with design calculations, technical documentation, and site-based work in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing structural drawings and details using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Support structural analysis and design calculations for steel, concrete, and wood structures.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and field reviews.
- Contribute to technical documentation and engineering reports.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Help improve design processes, tools, and standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering program (3rd year or higher).
- Strong academic foundation in structural mechanics and design.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, S-Frame, SAP2000, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with NBCC, CSA S16, or CSA A23.3 design codes is an asset.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
