About the role#
WSP is seeking a full-time Water Resources Engineering Intern to join the team in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, for the Summer 2027 program. This role provides hands-on experience by working alongside senior staff on active projects and participating in the company's professional development network.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Learn fundamental principles of civil engineering with a focus on water resources.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation and complete assigned training.
- Perform additional duties as required by business needs.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an undergraduate program for water resources, environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering, urban planning, biology, or mathematics, with a graduation date of May 2028 or later.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Strong interest in water resources engineering and a desire to advance professional skills.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to follow direction from leadership and mentors.
