About the role#
As a Co-op Student in Electrical Engineering, you will work alongside experienced engineers on projects that shape communities and infrastructure. This role provides hands-on experience in design support, field investigations, and project delivery within a professional consulting environment.
What you'll do#
- Support electrical engineering teams in the design and delivery of infrastructure, transportation, buildings, industrial, and energy projects.
- Assist with preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
- Contribute to electrical system design activities, including power distribution, lighting, and controls.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and field investigations to gather data and support project execution.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions.
- Help maintain project schedules, document control processes, and quality assurance requirements.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering degree program and returning to studies following the work term.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, such as circuit analysis or power systems.
- Familiarity with engineering software including AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or SKM.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $22.50 – $30.25 per hour for Ontario.
