About the role#
Coaction Global offers a summer internship for students interested in an actuarial career. You will work within our actuarial department, supporting internal teams across our property and casualty lines of business. This role involves analyzing data and solving complex business problems while learning about insurance operations. You will work both individually and with teams across underwriting, claims, and corporate risk management.
What you'll do#
- Assist actuaries with reserving, pricing, catastrophe modeling, or capital modeling initiatives.
- Research industry and competitor results for benchmarking.
- Develop price monitoring capabilities.
- Assemble, verify, and analyze exposures used for catastrophe modeling.
- Document new and existing processes.
- Reconcile final dataset outputs to ensure accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Rising junior status with a targeted graduation date of May 2028.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Strong analytical skills and a solid mathematical framework.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- SQL coding experience is preferred.
- Actively pursuing actuarial exams, with a preference for candidates who have passed at least one.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

- Location: Morristown, New Jersey.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June through August).
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position. You must be able to work from our office 5 days a week. No relocation assistance is provided.
