About the role#
H&P offers a field-based internship for students interested in gaining hands-on experience within the oil and gas industry. This program provides exposure to rig operations, equipment, and core business processes. Interns work alongside energy professionals to understand our mission, safety standards, and service goals. This is a paid, full-time, on-site opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Gain direct exposure to rig operations and the daily responsibilities of field-based employees.
- Complete business-focused projects that involve researching theory and proposing solutions.
- Present final project findings at the conclusion of the internship.
- Build relationships with rig crews, field leadership, and other staff members.
- Provide operational support within your assigned department.
- Demonstrate the H&P Way by prioritizing safety, teamwork, and our core values.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Data Science.
- Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and data analysis.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in an operational setting.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to implementing company values and strategic objectives.
