About the role#
Coaction Global is offering a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. This program provides hands-on experience within the insurance claims department, allowing students to work alongside industry professionals across various product verticals including property, casualty, entertainment, executive liability, and multi-line.
What you'll do#
- Gain a thorough understanding of the claims process through an apprenticeship with a senior claim professional.
- Review claim files and litigated cases.
- Participate in meetings with personnel from all levels of the organization.
- Contribute to ongoing claims investigations.
- Assist with claim data collection to support underwriting efforts and identify industry trends.
- Participate in claims round table sessions to discuss investigation findings and evaluations.
- Attend mediations, trials, and court sessions with claims personnel.
- Interface with external vendors, including defense and coverage lawyers.
- Collaborate with underwriters and other departments across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising junior with an anticipated graduation date of May 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or Economics.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career within the insurance industry.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and organized approach to tasks.
- Willingness to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Morristown, New Jersey.
- The internship runs from June through August 2027.
- This is a full-time, on-site role requiring attendance 5 days per week.
- Candidates must live locally, as relocation assistance is not provided.
- Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this role.
