About the role#
As an Underwriting Operations intern, you will serve as a key business partner to the underwriting team. You will learn the core underwriting process, assist with analysis and documentation, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality results. This role requires a proactive approach to managing tasks and collaborating with both internal team members and external clients.
What you'll do#
- Compute and rate premiums for new, renewal, and endorsement business.
- Deliver initial pricing to your underwriting partner.
- Assist underwriters with analysis and documentation.
- Manage account services, including resolving agent inquiries, complaints, and requests.
- Execute policy processing activities and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Order and obtain necessary reports, such as MVR and D&B.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Must be a rising junior with a targeted graduation date of May 2028.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for various professional levels.
- Ability to learn quickly and make an immediate impact.

- Term: Summer 2027 (June–August).
- Location: Morristown, New Jersey.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position. Candidates must be local to the Morristown area, as relocation assistance is not provided.
