About the role#
We are looking for a Water Engineer Intern to join our Water Business Line in Middletown, CT for the Fall 2026 semester. This position offers hands-on experience in the evaluation, planning, and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. You will work on projects ranging from treatment facilities to conveyance systems, including pipelines and pumping stations.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate, plan, and design water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
- Conduct site visits, perform sampling, and analyze water quality.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations for client meetings.
- Ensure all project work meets quality, health, and safety standards.
- Learn and apply digital tools such as BIM and Power BI to project delivery.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Water Resources Engineering.
- Availability to work 16-20 hours per week during the fall semester (August through December 2026).
- Knowledge of engineering concepts related to water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
