About the role#
Arcadis is hiring an Environmental Engineering Intern for our Milwaukee office during the Summer 2027 term. This position offers exposure to environmental remediation and restoration projects within a consulting environment. You will work on multiple assignments, support project teams, and engage in both field and office tasks.
What you'll do#
- Support site investigations, including the collection of soil, water, and vapor samples in various weather conditions.
- Assist with systems design, hydraulic evaluation, and the development of design reports.
- Perform design calculations for the selection of treatment technologies and create process design drawings.
- Help project teams with the operation of remediation systems.
- Assist with air emissions characterization, quantification, air permitting, and compliance.
- Perform office tasks such as data compilation, task coordination, report writing, and cost estimate preparation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Preferred experience with AutoCAD, GIS, and programming.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
