About the role#
This is a full-time Geology Intern position within the Earth and Environment team. You will work on-site for a 12-week program during the summer of 2027. This role offers hands-on experience working alongside senior staff on real projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project research, field work, data analysis, and reporting.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Prepare project drawings and maps.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Support environmental tasks to develop technical and professional skills.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate program in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically cleared to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to take direction from mentors and managers.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in either Irvine, California or San Diego, California.
- The internship is a paid, full-time role.
- Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.
- No relocation or housing assistance is provided.
