About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at Workiva, you will contribute to the development of product features and internal tools. You will work alongside a senior developer to build software on a rapid-release cycle. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Write and implement code for product features or developer tools.
- Participate in an Agile development process, which includes attending standups and defining user stories.
- Complete code reviews and write unit tests to ensure quality.
- Track your assignments and provide regular status updates using internal systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, specifically data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Python, Go, Java, C, C++, C#, Dart, or JavaScript.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
