About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on developer tools or product features under the guidance of a senior developer. You will contribute to our software using an Agile methodology, which includes attending standups, defining user stories, and completing code reviews and unit tests.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain user-facing features using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Develop backend services in Java to support Global Search adoption and scalability.
- Assist with building and extending functionality in Workiva Assistant.
- Contribute as a backend or frontend engineer based on project needs.
- Track job assignments and provide status updates using internal tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program, preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- A solid foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software design.
- Experience in at least one of the following: Python, Go, Java, C, C++, C#, Dart, or JavaScript.
- Exposure to client frameworks like React or Angular, Google App Engine, or Amazon EC2.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The role is primarily remote, with the option to work in a hybrid capacity if you are located near one of our office hubs.
- Available terms include Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
