About the role#
We are looking for a Transportation & Infrastructure Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This design-focused role supports our staff on Phase I and Phase II projects. You will work directly with supervising engineers to gain experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Perform roadway design calculations.
- Help prepare project plans and cost estimates.
- Organize and conduct site investigations.
- Study traffic patterns to identify and address problems.
- Assist the team with client presentations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Civil Engineering.
- A genuine interest in transportation and infrastructure.
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
- An openness to learn.
- Past experience with design or project delivery is a plus.

- This is a paid, full-time internship based on-site in Darien, Illinois.
