About the role#
Wight & Company is seeking a Construction Management intern for the summer of 2027. This full-time, paid position offers the chance to work alongside our construction team, architects, and engineers. You will spend your time on-site at projects throughout the Chicagoland area and engage with professionals across our various departments.
What you'll do#
- Shadow superintendents and document progress on construction sites.
- Assist Project Managers with the preparation of estimates, schedules, and contracts.
- Attend team and client meetings both in-house and on-site.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Reliable transportation to travel to assigned job sites in the Chicagoland area.
- A basic understanding of construction materials and methods.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

- Compensation: $20 to $25 per hour, based on experience and skills.
