About the role#
Wight & Company is seeking a Building Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within our Mechanical Engineering group in Darien, Illinois. This role offers the chance to collaborate with our engineering teams, architects, and construction managers on active projects.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Junior and Senior Engineers to create solutions for design process challenges.
- Build your technical and computer skills to assist with daily tasks.
- Participate in team and client meetings, both in-house and on-site.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients.
- Contribute to the progress and completion of engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
- An openness to learn.
- Experience with Revit building information modeling is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship based on-site in Darien, Illinois.
- The pay range for this position is $20 to $25 per hour, based on individual experience and skills.
