About the role#
Wight & Company is seeking a Site Civil Engineering Intern for our Land Development Group in Darien, Illinois. This is a full-time, paid summer internship for 2027. You will work alongside junior and senior engineers, architects, and construction managers to support project development and completion.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineering teams to find creative solutions for design process challenges.
- Support day-to-day operations by building your technical and computer skills.
- Participate in team and client meetings, both in-house and on-site.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients.
- Contribute directly to the advancement and finalization of engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage computer tasks effectively.
- An openness to learning new processes.

- This position is based on-site in Darien, Illinois.
- This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term.
