About the role#
As a Civil Engineering Intern focused on Land Development, you will work with experienced engineers and project teams on active development projects. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in how civil engineering supports commercial, industrial, and housing development projects from concept through construction.
What you'll do#
- Assist with site development and land planning projects.
- Support grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater design efforts.
- Participate in site layout and permitting coordination.
- Attend site visits to observe construction progress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architecture, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering.
- Gain exposure to client meetings and project coordination processes.
- Learn to use industry tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, and GIS mapping software.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Interest in land development, infrastructure, or site design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team.
- Eagerness to learn in a multidisciplinary environment.
