About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will work with experienced engineers and project teams on HVAC and plumbing system design. This is a full-time, paid, 11-week internship program scheduled for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with HVAC and plumbing design calculations.
- Support equipment selection and system layouts.
- Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Review construction documents and shop drawings.
- Attend site visits to observe construction progress.
- Learn about sustainable and energy-efficient building system design.
- Assist with preparing engineering documentation and specifications.
- Use software including Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and BIM tools.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- You have an interest in HVAC, plumbing, and building systems design.
- You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are a collaborative team player and an effective communicator.

- This is an on-site position.
- Locations: Somerville, New Jersey or Bentonville, Arkansas.
