    About the role#

    As a Fire Protection Engineering Intern, you will work with experienced engineers and project teams on life safety systems and fire protection design. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with fire alarm and fire suppression system layouts.
    • Support code analysis and life safety reviews.
    • Participate in project coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Review applicable fire and building codes.
    • Attend site visits to observe construction progress.
    • Assist with the preparation of permit and construction documentation.
    • Learn how fire protection systems integrate into architectural and MEP designs.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Interest in life safety systems and code compliance.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work as a collaborative team player.
    • Eagerness to learn in a multidisciplinary AEC environment.

    Location & details#

    • This is an on-site position based in Bentonville, Arkansas.
    • The internship is a full-time commitment.
