About the role#
As an Imaging Intern in Diagnostic Radiology, you will perform radiographic procedures at a technical level under the direction of a Certified Radiographer. This role requires independent judgment to use proper methods and technical skills to achieve quality examinations while maintaining indirect supervision.
What you'll do#
- Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level.
- Transfer and position patients, using immobilization devices when needed.
- Select proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce quality radiographic images.
- Document patient activity within computer systems.
- Maintain radiation protection for patients and yourself according to safety standards.
- Practice sterile techniques and maintain a sanitary environment.
- Assess and interpret age-specific data to provide appropriate treatment.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program.
- You must have maintained satisfactory completion of all clinical competency requirements.
Location & details#
- Location: Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
- Schedule: PRN, rotating shift. Hours vary to cover open weekday and weekend day shifts.
- This is a paid internship.
