About the role#
As an Imaging Intern in Computed Tomography, you will perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a Certified Radiographer. This role requires independent judgment and initiative to maintain high standards of quality examinations within your assigned work area. You will work on a rotating shift basis to gain hands-on technical experience.
What you'll do#
- Transfer and position patients for imaging, using immobilization devices when necessary.
- Select appropriate technical factors for each patient and operate equipment to produce quality images.
- Apply radiation protection standards for both patients and yourself.
- Maintain a sanitary environment by practicing sterile techniques and universal precautions.
- Document patient activity accurately in computer systems.
- Assess patient needs based on their age and provide appropriate care.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and infection control policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Satisfactory completion of all clinical competency requirements within your program.
- Understanding of growth and development principles across the human life span.
- Ability to provide direct care to patients of various age groups.
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards for patients, visitors, and staff.

- Employment Type: Full-time, PRN (as needed).
- This is a paid internship position.
