About the role#
Mercy Health is hiring a Clinical Nursing Student for the Med Surg Unit at Springfield Regional Medical Center. This position offers nursing students the chance to gain clinical experience and exposure through job shadowing and direct patient care. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to develop your skills in a hospital setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
- Support the nursing process by collecting and documenting patient data, including vital signs.
- Assist patients with personal care, hygiene, and mobility needs.
- Report changes in patient conditions or concerns to the nursing team.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation for patient care tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care delivery.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a nursing program.
- Completion of at least one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly with the healthcare team.
