About the role#
WellSpan Health is hiring an Imaging Intern for Computed Tomography. This is a PRN, evening-shift position based in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. You will work under the direction of a Certified Radiographer to perform radiographic procedures. This role requires independent judgment and initiative to maintain quality standards within the work area.
What you'll do#
- Transfer and position patients, using immobilization devices when necessary.
- Select proper technical factors for each patient.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographic images.
- Ensure radiation protection for both patients and yourself according to safety standards.
- Practice sterile techniques and maintain a sanitary work environment.
- Document patient activity accurately in computer systems.
- Assess and interpret patient data to provide age-appropriate care.
What you'll need#
- You must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program.
- You must have successfully completed all clinical competency requirements for your program.
- Ability to follow safety regulations and report hazardous conditions.
- A commitment to teamwork and patient safety.
