About the role#
The Legal, Compliance, and Risk Co-op joins the Private Investments Legal Team to support private equity and private credit investment products. You will work alongside legal services professionals, Investment Management, Operations, and Investment Administration teams to provide support throughout the entire lifecycle of funds and deals. This role involves contributing to ongoing initiatives, regulatory developments, corporate governance, and counterparty documentation. You will also participate in cross-training to ensure performance across various functions.
What you'll do#
- Review, produce, and research deal and fund documents.
- Manage databases and oversee document management.
- Conduct gap analysis and assist with record retention.
- Coordinate signatures for legal documentation.
- Perform legal and regulatory research.
- Support various internal and external professionals on investment products.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Northeastern University.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize ongoing and time-sensitive goals.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented approach with a sense of humor.
- Enthusiasm for learning and an interest in financial markets.
- A focus in legal or financial services is preferred.
