About the role#
The Client Group at Wellington Management focuses on growing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors globally. As a co-op on the Financial Reserves Management (FRM) team, you will gain hands-on experience in relationship management and business development. You will support a team that oversees approximately $190 billion in assets, working alongside investment professionals to understand portfolio positioning and client needs. This role requires a professional who can handle multiple deadlines and work effectively across various internal departments.
What you'll do#
- Prepare presentation materials, briefing documents, and research for client and prospect meetings.
- Collaborate with relationship, product, portfolio management, legal, compliance, and operations teams.
- Assist senior leadership with strategic projects to improve team initiatives, goals, and reporting.
- Conduct independent project work, including industry investment trends, client analysis, competitor research, and fundraising target lists.
- Participate in client portfolio review meetings.
- Pitch in during peak periods to support team objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Northeastern University.
- Prior co-op experience in a professional environment.
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and professional judgment.
- A positive, collegial attitude and a sense of humor.
- Genuine interest in the markets or the investment management industry.

- Modality: On-site and hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote).
