About the role#
The Accounting Intern provides hands-on support to the accounting department. You will assist with routine functions and special projects while gaining experience in a professional environment. This is a paid, full-time summer 2027 internship.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
- Complete account reconciliations and resolve variances.
- Assist with budget preparation, analysis, and data compilation.
- Maintain accurate accounting records.
- Participate in month-end close activities.
- Collaborate with the team on ad hoc projects.
- Perform related duties as assigned while following company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Completion of foundational accounting courses (intermediate or advanced courses are preferred).
- A basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in a professional setting.
- Experience with accounting systems is a plus.

- This position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Work is on-site.
