About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship program for students interested in Risk and Security Engineering. You will work within the Vanguard Engineering track to build technology solutions that protect the firm and its investors. The program provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and training to help you develop your technical skills in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Build high-impact solutions that support Vanguard operations.
- Contribute to client outcomes and investment success.
- Gain practical experience in software development.
- Practice Agile and LEAN methodologies.
- Build a professional network with peers, alumni, program managers, and senior leaders.
- Receive regular coaching and mentorship from your department and program managers.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IST, IT, CIS, Security, Risk, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- A strong interest in web, mobile, or application development.
- Demonstrated leadership skills or clear leadership aspirations.
- Effective analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
