About the role#
As a Software Engineer intern for legacy systems, you will support the applications that power our supply chain, customer ordering, and warehouse operations. You will gain experience in an enterprise-scale software environment while learning how foundational technologies like COBOL, JCL, and IBM Mainframe systems support our business. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Write, test, debug, and document moderately complex programs.
- Build programs to meet business needs in collaboration with your department.
- Design programs for new projects or enhancements to existing software.
- Develop unit test plans to verify the logic of your code.
- Follow Agile methodology and participate in daily SCRUM meetings.
- Create technical documentation for your work assignments.
- Resolve program issues and validate requirements with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or a related field.
- Completed coursework in COBOL programming.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to the office.

- The internship follows a hybrid work schedule.
- This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week from June through August.
