About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to apply academic training to real-world software development within the food distribution industry. You will work on projects ranging from customer-facing websites to internal portals and mobile applications. You will be paired with a manager for performance feedback and a mentor for daily guidance. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Participate in project ideation from initial concept to final delivery.
- Gather information from existing systems and analyze program requirements.
- Write detailed specifications to guide program development.
- Develop moderately complex programs while ensuring they meet technical standards.
- Create documentation for code and technical processes.
- Assist team members in resolving program issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency or coursework in object-oriented programming.
- Experience with Java development.
- Practical experience with database server development.
- Background in web application development or hands-on website building.

- Location: Rosemont, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2026 (June through August).
- Modality: Hybrid (a mix of onsite and remote work).
