Marketing and Communications Specialist III

About the role#

The Marketing and Communications Specialist III provides leadership in the execution of marketing strategies and public relations campaigns for the division. This position manages the production of communications across various media to align with the unit's strategic marketing plan, with a focus on enhancing student and employee engagement through effective storytelling and brand alignment.

What you'll do#

• Execute marketing strategies and campaigns while managing production across print, electronic, and social media platforms.
• Develop budgets, estimate project costs, and monitor spending.
• Set goals and implement tracking to monitor campaign effectiveness, making data-driven recommendations.
• Oversee and direct the work of other marketing employees and students.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to assess project needs and establish timelines.
• Create and update standard operating procedures for the unit.
• Ensure all content complies with accessibility standards, privacy policies, and style guidelines.
• Coordinate special events to increase awareness and promote relations with students, alumni, and other stakeholders.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of work-related experience.
• A valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.
• Strong competencies in strategic planning, collaboration, and technical knowledge.
• A Master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is desired.
• Five years of project management experience is preferred, ideally in marketing, education, wellness, or student engagement.

• This is a full-time, on-site position located in Laramie, Wyoming.
