About the role#
As an ATS Student Technician, you will serve as a primary point of contact for technical support across the University of Wyoming campus. This role involves providing in-person assistance, equipment provisioning, and troubleshooting to support students, faculty, and staff. You will work within the Information Technology Center and travel across campus to maintain technology resources.
What you'll do#
- Provide front-line technical provisioning, equipment delivery, and on-site setup.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for Student Computer Lab systems, printers, personal computers, tablets, and phones.
- Assist students with internet access in dorms and university apartments.
- Facilitate a checkout program for laptops, tablets, and multimedia devices.
- Assist with the replacement of student lab computers during summer semesters.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student.
- Prior experience in customer service.
- Working knowledge of consumer technology.
- A valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with university business standards.
- A strong willingness to learn, flexibility, and the initiative to solve problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Psychology, Communications, and Business Administration.
