About the role#
This position supports the Shared Business Services team, which provides accounting and business support for University of Wyoming departments like Housing, Dining, and the University Store. You will gain experience in accounting procedures, including data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash handling. This role offers practical application of business practices while working alongside a full accounting team.
What you'll do#
- Enter, copy, and sort invoices for payment.
- Track and send invoices as needed.
- Perform data entry for various projects.
- Assist with cash handling processes.
- Sort incoming mail.
- Handle miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current eligibility for a work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record compliant with university driving policies.
- Interest in accounting or business management, with a preference for students majoring in these fields.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Sharepoint.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in an office environment is helpful.
