About the role#
The Business Office Student Staff serves as the primary point of contact for patrons at the Half Acre Gym. This position focuses on customer service, facility management, and administrative support within the Campus Recreation department.
What you'll do#
- Greet and welcome all individuals entering the Half Acre Gymnasium.
- Process daily sales transactions using cash, check, and credit cards.
- Oversee facility access to ensure only authorized individuals use the gym.
- Manage front desk phone lines and direct calls as needed.
- Track and manage lost-and-found items.
- Assist with opening and closing the front desk station.
- Answer patron questions and direct them to appropriate resources.
- Complete additional projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a University of Wyoming student.
- Eligibility for a work study award through Student Financial Aid.
- Ability to work 2-3 weekend shifts per month.
- Commitment to work for at least two full semesters, starting in August 2026.
- Previous customer service or point-of-sale experience is preferred.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, or Psychology are relevant to this role.

- Work Modality: On-site at Campus Recreation facilities.
- Pay: $14 per hour.
- Term: Fall 2026.
