About the role#
The Department of Physics at the University of Virginia is hiring Federal Work Study students to serve as Undergraduate Teaching Assistants for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position runs from August 28, 2025, through May 10, 2026.
What you'll do#
- Attend weekly training sessions to prepare for upcoming lab material.
- Lead two introductory lab sections per week, each with 26 students.
- Hold office hours to support student learning.
- Guide students as they design experiments, collect data, and perform analysis.
- Assist students in reaching correct solutions to assigned problems.
