About the role#
UVA | Northern Virginia is looking for a Content Marketing Coordinator to support our unit. You will create, edit, and publish content across social media and our website blog. This role involves developing written, visual, and interactive materials to promote our programs and grow our online presence. You will work directly with the Associate Director of Communications and the leadership team. This is a part-time position at 10-20 hours per week, and you will work remotely from Charlottesville.
What you'll do#
- Brainstorm and develop concepts for social media and blog content.
- Write, edit, and proofread articles, blog posts, and social media updates.
- Create and curate visual assets, including images, graphics, and videos.
- Coordinate with the Associate Director of Communications to schedule and publish content.
- Learn and apply UVA Brand Guidelines to all messaging.
- Monitor engagement metrics and suggest improvements based on performance data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a UVA student.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency with social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Experience in marketing, communications, or content creation.
- Ability to manage your own time and meet deadlines.
- Graphic design or video editing experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote (Charlottesville, VA).
- Pay: $18 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time (10-20 hours per week).
- Term: Rolling.
