    About the role#

    The University of Virginia Department of Athletics is hiring a student worker to support the Facility and Game Operations unit. This role provides hands-on experience in event management and facility maintenance within a Division I program. You will work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends to support home athletics events.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage meeting space setups in Bryant Hall.
    • Prepare athletic facilities for upcoming events and competitions.
    • Assist with general maintenance projects and facility upkeep.
    • Maintain the inventory of athletic equipment.
    • Support staff during home athletics events, including Olympic competitions and special event weekends like camps and rentals.

    What you'll need#

    • Current UVA undergraduate status with eligibility for student employment and federal work study.
    • Ability to work outdoors on a regular basis.
    • Capacity to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
    • Comfort working in and around athletic venues.
    • Pursuing a major in Operations Management is preferred.

    • Compensation: This is a paid position at $13 per hour.
