About the role#
The Department of Religious Studies is hiring a Federal Work-Study student to assist with daily operations and department events. This role is open to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year undergraduate students. Work occurs on-site in Charlottesville.
What you'll do#
- Provide support for Zoom meetings.
- Handle light office tasks including photocopying and sorting mail.
- Assist with department events, such as posting signage, setting up catering, and cleaning up event spaces.
What you'll need#
- Current Federal Work-Study eligibility.
- Full-time enrollment as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year undergraduate at UVA.
- Preferred: A major in Religious Studies.
- Preferred: Good academic standing.
- Preferred: Strong written communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlottesville, Virginia.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work for events.
- Compensation: $16.50 per hour.
- Modality: On-site.
