    About the role#

    University Annual Giving and Stewardship is hiring a Federal Work-Study student to assist the Direct Marketing team. This position supports alumni and parent engagement efforts through marketing and administrative tasks. You will report to the Assistant Director of Direct Marketing. Please note that all staff must sign a non-disclosure agreement, as confidentiality is a priority for this office.

    What you'll do#

    • Proof data and review text messages and emails before they are sent.
    • Initiate communications with external vendors.
    • Conduct research for marketing campaigns and assist with their execution.
    • Maintain the Advancement Community Marketing Calendar.
    • Complete other tasks as needed within the department.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a UVA student.
    • Federal work-study eligibility.
    • A submitted resume.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Expert attention to detail.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, Canva, and Adobe applications like Acrobat Pro.
    • The ability to manage multiple projects at once.

    Location & details#

    • This role is primarily remote, with periodic opportunities for in-person collaboration in Charlottesville, Virginia.
    • The term covers the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
    • You may work up to 20 hours per week, with a minimum requirement of 10 hours.
    • The pay rate is $19.50 per hour.
