About the role#
The WELL at Sacramento State is looking for a Student Assistant to support the Coordinator of Training and Administration. This role focuses on maintaining organizational practices and creating new ways to support student development and assessment. You will work across departments to help with staff training, recognition programs, and internal communications.
What you'll do#
- Facilitate New Hire Orientations and support the Leadership Training Series.
- Organize large-scale staff trainings and appreciation events.
- Manage staff uniform inventory and distribution.
- Create and distribute the monthly staff newsletter and weekly communications.
- Assess staff development needs through surveys and feedback.
- Analyze training data and maintain employee records.
- Serve as a primary contact for student staff regarding development and training.
- Meet weekly with the Coordinator of Training and Administration to report on project status.
- Collaborate with professional staff on events like the WELL 5K Fun Run and Homecoming.
- Research and apply best practices for student staff engagement.
- Attend pre-semester training and all-staff meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Sacramento State.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least nine units.
- Graduate students must be enrolled in at least six units.
- A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
Location & details#
- Position is based on-site in Sacramento, California.
- This is a part-time, non-benefited role.
- Work shifts are available Monday through Saturday.
- Compensation is $18.40 per hour.
