About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Student Assistant to support the Elevate Youth California program and other departments. This is a developmental, part-time position designed to provide you with hands-on experience while contributing to organizational goals. You will work closely with the Program Associate and Program Officer to manage administrative tasks and program logistics.
What you'll do#
- Manage scheduling for internal and external appointments, conference calls, and meetings.
- Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person events, including room setup, catering, and audio-visual preparation.
- Maintain and organize files, scan or copy documents, and handle incoming correspondence.
- Enter and update data within the grants management database.
- Take accurate meeting minutes and prepare event materials like agendas and presentations.
- Assist with general office support, including special projects and team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student during the regular academic term.
- A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar office software.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred majors include Public Health, Health Administration, or Sociology.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Sacramento, California.
- Work must be performed on-site, with a preferred schedule of Tuesday through Thursday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- This is a part-time, non-benefited role with a pay range of $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- You may work up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during school breaks.
