About the role#
The Antiracist Research & Policy Center (ARPC) is hiring a student research assistant to support the Chocolate City Speaks and COUNTERNARRATIVES oral history projects. You will work directly with the ARPC director and a contracted expert to document the experiences of minoritized populations in Washington, DC.
What you'll do#
- Research the effects of gentrification on minoritized populations in the city.
- Conduct background research on specific communities.
- Locate and schedule ethnographic interviews with artistic and political figures.
- Record, store, and promote oral histories collected for the projects.
What you'll need#
- You must be an enrolled student at American University.
- You must have an active Federal Work Study (FWS) award.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site at the American University campus in Washington, DC.
- This is a part-time role, expected to require 5 hours per week.
- The pay rate for this position is $18.40 per hour.
